big bang multicolured collagraph
I did the collagraph as a homage to the big accelerator that came on line on wednesday .Many years ago I would have called myself a printmaker and indeed had the immense privalige of being taught by Charles Woolaston. As a student of his, we all recieved hand cut prints from him at Christmas. It was years later that I came to realise who he was and how lucky I was to have him tutor us.. he was past retirement.. …to me he was just Mr Woolaston who ran the store and did printing and also painted. So when I get a chance to get my fingers dirty with ink and access to a press I go for it.

I love the collagraph technique and wish I had access to a press to do more of it. The colours and marks are so subtle. I really like this print, a lot. And I’m so glad to find you’re blogging!
