I have just read the sad news about Sarah. When I was Head of Art at Dronfield Henry Fanshawe School Sarah organised 3 workshops with my Y11 and post-16 classes and she was so inspirational. The students and staff created some wonderful felt pieces and excellent coursework as a result.
She will be sadly missed by everyone who came in contact with her. Her energy, enthusiasm and ‘wackiness’ were infectious.

i have just read the sad news about Sarah. i would always make a visit to your stand at shows and the trade fair. She was a inspiration to all who met her, as a textile artist myself, she had so much to share with others, she will be sadly missed by all . Tori xx

A Beautiful Eulogy. I had the pleasure of seeing Sarah demo at Edwinstowe Craft Centre and after much discussion about the products she was using I became a huge fan of all things Crafty Notions. Inspirational Sarah – RIP

I have just learned of Sarah’s death and want to express my sadness at your great loss of her. She always treated me as much more than a customer, and was so generous with me, sharing her precious time, knowledge and skills, and her very great humanity. Everytime I met her, I became a richer person for it, and she has inspired me to live my life creatively. I will always miss her.

I am saddened to hear of the death of Sarah. I always looked forward to watching her on Create and Craft. She was an inspiration and so talented. Although I only saw Sarah through a camera lens or through the NEC crowds around her demonstrations, her big personality reached out to everyone. Her products speak of who Sarah was – which is why so many people buy and use them. I entered this fascinating mixed media world through Sarah: one of countless people who she never knew she had touched. Thankyou Sarah.

So sad to hear from a member of Embroiderers Guild last night that we had lost Sarah.I was privileged to go on a felt work shop years ago and every time since when I met Sarah around the show circiut she always had a word and was such an inspiration. You will bw sadly missed by all who came into contact with you.

I’m so sorry to here of Sarah’s death. Her enthusiasm for Art and Craft knew no bounds. I will always remember the kindness she extended to one of my students in her A level work and her sending just the right sort of materials for her to achieve the effects she wanted without asking. Sarah was always helpful to me on the phone when requesting materials in quantities larger than normal for my art department and I will always treasure the memories of the fun conversations that were had in the process, she was always interested to hear what we were doing. She will be sadly missed.

I was truly sorry to hear of Sarah’s untimely death, she was a wonderful lady and her enthusiasm was boundless. Thank you Liz for such a beautiful and moving eulogy, it must have been a very emotional time for Sarah’s family and you. One lovely shining light has gone out in the world.
